The Perfect Drugstore Palette

Ohhh mama, isn't this just incredible? I spied the Soap and Glory The Perfect Ten palette around a month ago and instantly tweeted how great it is however it took me a while to get round to picking it up. Granted, I actually got a couple for Christmas presents too but shhh - I won't say who!

My first thought was ok this is such a good alternative to the Naked palettes. I wouldn't pinpoint it to a single one, in fact I think all are reflected with the golds from Naked 1, some taupes from Naked 2, a few rosy pans from Naked 3 and a handful of mattes similar to the Naked Basics - all in all it's like the ideal palette for those of us who can't decide which UD to go for! The Perfect Ten is definitely more in the warm toned side of things though with golds, coppers a couple of taupes and also a rosy toned offering from Minky. Of the ten shades 3 are matte with the other 7 being metallic - not glittery.

The pigmentation isn't too strong which is a shame but you still get a decent colour payoff and they all blend so well together it makes the whole thing a breeze. The colours in Soap and Glory's The Perfect Ten compliment each other easily so you don't have to think too much about what your pairing up - perfect for first timers. My favourite shades are Taupe Cat, Aubersheen and Vanilla - which is a great brow bone shade. I also adore Sunset - but what green eyed girl wouldn't?

There's a double ended brush in here which is surprisingly useful! Sometimes brushes in palettes are pretty useless but it's reasonably soft and a decent size for blending the shades out. For £16 this really is an incredible little palette - it's slimline, easily transportable and contains 10 incredibly wearable shades. It'll make such a great last minute gift if you can source one out at your local Boots too. J'adore.

Have you got your hands on the Soap and Glory The Perfect Ten palette?
